I am formally trained as an Interior Designer, however through the years, I have become more and more interested in assemblage art or what some call "found art", as well as, collage and jewelry.
With everything I construct, I use a bit or two of something considered "junk" or objects that are no longer useful for their intended purposes.
Inspiration is EVERYWHERE. Growing up in Texas on a ranch proved it self very useful, as "found treasures" are easy to come by. I LOVE scavenging through what others deem junk, going to yard sales, resale shops and of course, antique stores. Besides these little shopping excursions, any road trip seems to inspire me. Some trinkets, cast offs, odd curiosities and such just speak to me and call to be used. You never know when someTHING will come in handy. I occasionally will utilize my original photographs in pieces, as well.
Creating is my passion and working with my imagination and hands to accomplish these little and not so little creations is my reward in life. It is my comfort zone.
